A special blend of fire, ball and kaolin clays formulated using sand and grog with a plasticity suitable for small to large work. It’s an excellent inexpensive general-purpose clay for hand or wheel work. It has a tan/cream color in Cone 10 oxidation, and turns a beautiful light brown/buff color with slight tan specks when fired in reduction. As seen in the photo below, 612 Stoneware throws extremely well..
