Clay Planet Base White Cone 10 Glaze
Base White - A white opaque glaze with a satin matte finish. Will run if too thick. When applied too thin it produces a grayish-white. The addition of cobalt turns this glaze a purple to lavender color. Add 1-3% iron and Rutile for a pleasant beige. Great for the inside (or outside) of functional ware. Top row is fired in medium Reduction in a gas kiln Bottom row is fired in Oxidation in an electric kiln Left side tiles are glazes on red stoneware clay Right side tiles are glazed on porcelain clay All tiles have a thin coat on bottom third, heavy coat at top third of each tile. |
