Iron, Oxide Yellow
Yellow Iron Oxide
Iron oxide-hydroxide is a naturally occurring pigment used in clay slips, glazes, and even in cosmetics, tattoo inks, and food colorings. Yellow iron oxide is another form of ferric oxide; although its raw color is different, it is chemically identical to and acts the same as red iron oxide when fired.
