For Cone 10 firing, we recommend shelves that are 1" thick. Otherwise only fire the 5/8" thick shelves up to Cone 8 regular use.
Note: There are additional packing charges for shelves shipped by standard carriers. For orders larger than 12 shelves, we may contact you, and adjust the shipping charges to that of an LTL carrier. Shelves are extremely fragile to ship UPS or mail, and require a LOT more packing, and additional insurance to ensure safe arrival
Kiln shelves and posts often come with small imperfections and blemishes, and my receive additional scratches or chips during shipping. Clay Planet will replace or refund broken shelves and post but will not replace shelves with cosmetic damage or defects, or those with damage which does not affect their function as kiln furniture.
