Kiln Posts - 1.5" Triangle
Triangle post are the most commonly used post in all sizes of electric and gas fired kilns. These posts are good up to cone 10 high temperature firing and are available in a variety of lengths. Choose the size of your post above. Square posts have fluted sides and a hole through the center.
The manufacturer rates them for cone 10. They are quite stout, so you should be able to take them higher (cone 11 or possibly cone 12) depending on how heavily/evenly they are loaded. If stacking more than 10 shelves high, you might try using a half brick soap as a kiln post.
NOTE: Kiln posts are fragile. We make every effort to pack them well, but if breakage occurs we will credit you the cost of the post, but not ship a replacement. Small chips on sides or corners are cosmetic only and do not affect the functionality of posts, and will not be credited. |
