Clay Planet Ohata Red - High Fire Glaze
Ohata Red - Glossy, smooth glaze, ranges from cinnamon red to dark red with black speckles. A very consistent and successful glaze. Good with White or Beige overlap.
Top row is fired in medium Reduction in a gas kiln Bottom row is fired in Oxidation in an electric kiln Left side tiles are glazes on red stoneware clay Right side tiles are glazed on porcelain clay All tiles have a thin coat on bottom third, heavy coat at top third of each tile. |
