Inside dimensions: 28" wide x 31" deep, fires to cone 10/2350°F
Model comes with burner system, three peephole plugs, brick for covering porthole on top during reduction, instruction manual, and warranty card.
The optional ignition system is used to light multiple burners at one point, maintain the flame on each burner and re-ignite any burner that may extinguish. The thermocouple safety shut-off will stop the gas flow if the flame is lost entirely. Or the kiln may be purchased as a Base kiln.

Furniture Kit for 28″ Raku & Torchbearer Gas Kilns
6 each – 24″ x 12″ half-round shelves, 6 each – 3, 6, 9, 12-inch large square posts, and a 1 lb bag of kiln wash.
The Dual Input K-Type Thermocouple pyrometer comes with two (2) Type K thermocouples and a 9-volt battery.
The TPI digital pyrometer is used to indicate temperature in the Electric, Glass and Gas kilns. The TPI digital pyrometer with 5-6″ long thermocouples is used in standard size electric and gas kilns (electric up to 30H oval, glass up to GF514Es, & Raku & Torchbearer gas kilns)
28″ Raku & Torchbearer kilns – 40″ x 40″ stainless steel vent hood-
Gas kilns require proper ventilation when firing, especially if the kiln is going to be fired indoors. Olympic builds stainless and galvanized steel gas vent hoods for the updraft and downdraft gas kilns. The vents are square in design and have a 10″ diameter at the top for a non-flammable double-walled exhaust pipe to extend out or to go through the wall or ceiling to the outside. Vent hoods need to be mounted approximately 36″ above the top porthole of updraft gas kilns or enough room to be able to raise the lid on Torchbearer gas kilns. Kiln Vents are crated separately from kiln shipments and have an estimated shipping weight of 200 lbs.
