Clay Planet Sun Valley Rutile Cone 10 Glaze
SunValley Rutile is a beautiful and dynamic glaze. Can be a white or peach color when thick, and a blue color in the presence of iron. A great accent color over other glazes. Can be fluid or run of applied heavy.
Top row is fired in medium Reduction in a gas kiln Bottom row is fired in Oxidation in an electric kiln Left side tiles are glazes on red stoneware clay Right side tiles are glazed on porcelain clay All tiles have a thin coat on bottom third, heavy coat at top third of each tile. |
