XL-PLUS
XL PLUS - High Fire Refractory Cement
|
Choose Pint for studio use or Gallon size for large repair or construction jobs.
Kiln Building and Repair:
Use sparingly on only the half of brick facing away from the heat so as to allow for brick expansion. Likewise, kiln walls should not be cemented to the floor, ceiling or other walls. Kiln construction may be prefabricated if given 12 hours to dry before assembly. For large repairs, Grog or broken kiln brick may be added to improve body.
To Repair Greenware & Bisqueware:
Apply XL PLUS to both surfaces (cleaned and dried) so a small amount will ooze out. Avoid smearing on surfaces as many glazes may not adhere to XL-PLUS. Trim any excess with a knife after drying an hour or more and fire at any time.
