THE BEST WAX RESIST FOR CERAMICS YOU'LL TRY! Custom Blended Aftosa Wax Resist is used to resist glazes. The wax is applied to the base and rims of the pieces before glazing. Although Aftosa Wax Resist is tinted green so it is easy to see while you are working with it, the Wax Resist fires clear.

To use:
Pour a small amount in a separate container, use as desired, and dispose of the excess. DO NOT pour used wax back into the original container. You may thin the wax resist to suit your need. Allow the wax to dry for 3 to 4 hours before glazing or adding a second coat.

Some clean up with a sponge may be required. Clean up is easy with warm, soapy water. To help with the cleaning of brushes, before using your brush with the Wax Resist, dip your brush in liquid soap and wipe off the excess. This will protect your brush and make clean up a breeze. Be sure to fire to at least cone 017. You must have red heat or re-fire bisque at cone 06.

Note:
Aftosa Wax Resist has a shelf life of two - three years. Always keep the lid tight on the original container. If used improperly Aftosa Wax Resist can become contaminated. If the wax has a strong sour odor it is contaminated. The wax will FREEZE in cold climates and will not resist effectively. If frozen, it will get lumpy and separate.
