VL-WHISPER Potter's Wheel by Nidec Shimpo (daido)
The superior technology of Nidec Shimpo’s VL Whisper potter’s wheel and the popular features of Shimpo’s Velocity V75 potter’s wheel have been combined to create the second model in Shimpo’s Whisper series pottery wheels: the VL-Whisper.
Responsive, high torque at all speeds, powerful and we can now say the quietest wheel in the potter’s wheel market. It’s a “quiet” that must be heard to be believed!
Wheel comes standard 120 volt for the U.S. market, but can be converted to 220 volts for international customers. (NOTE: 220v wheels are special order and take 4 weeks longer to process order)
Special note regarding pacemakers.
All potter's wheels (every brand) are potentially harmful to pacemakers. The person is throwing over something that creates a magnetic field.... especially the VL & RK Whispers which have a direct drive motor under the wheel head bringing the motor closer to the chest. All motors create magnetic fields when in use, and the whisper is magnetic driven.
