Overglaze and Luster Decals

Overglaze and Luster decals are an amazing way to apply brilliant color and stunning silver and gold to your fired pottery. These designs are printed with china paints and/or with gold and silver luster. They can be cut and applied to the surface of your pot before firing. Decals must be fired in a kiln to a much lower temperature than standard glaze firings, therefore we recommend applying them as a final step to pieces that have already been glaze fired.

Look for firing instructions on the individual product pages for each design. In general, metallic luster decals and full color decals can be fired to between Cone 018 and Cone 016. Glow in the dark decals must be fired to a lower temperature of Cone 022.
